Me and my group calculated how many grams in a bag of lollies, 1 bar and a can of
red ball, then times it by 4.2 and round it and see how many teaspoons are in it
A bag of lollies = 18 teaspoons
1 bar of Baked oat slices = 3 teaspoons
A can of red ball drink = 7 teaspoon

Nutrition
One thing I've learnt from the video is that white bread causes terrible diseases back in the olden days. Technology made a machine to get rid of the stuff they thought was bad, but really they took out the good stuff, the things that people needs in our body. I keep wondering why brown bread is healthier than white bread, and now I know the answer.
I wonder what athlete sport players use to eat in the olden days, and how they keep themselves healthy.

Move to improve (First blog post)
The project I am in is 'Move to Improve'
At first we learnt some information about everyone that's in it to get along, and we were put into groups, 3 yr 10s & 4 yr 7-9, and we needed to test ourselves with any activities e.g 12 minute run, vertical jump....

Te-Tirity-O-Waitangi
In English, we were told to read the comic book that was shared with us in our drive by our teacher. It's called Te-Tiriti-O-Waitangi. How the treaty of Waitangi was signed. How we are all here today. How the Maori's and the Pakeha's are integrated. After reading it, we had to answer the questions that was sent through email from our teacher, and put it in Canva or Piktochart. I chose to put my questions and answers in Canva.

Persuasive Writing Questions
In English, my class had to answer 4 questions that was sent from our teacher through email about writing a class essay.
The 4 questions are....
What did I learn from the class persuasive essay we did?
Why did we do it as a class?
What will I do in my persuasive writing next time to make it even better?
and lastly, What questions do I still have about persuasive writing?
We were told to either create a Piktochart or Canva to write our answers in. I chose Canva because I like the layout of it. Press the image above to read my answers.

The Growing NZ Innovation Chanllange
Introduction
At the start of Term 3, we were put into groups in threes and our teacher set us a task to pick which challenge we should solve. Each group have chosen different challenges and we all have to make a presentation about it. My group Me, Selena and Hillary chose 'How to save water for a severe drought'. Straight after that, we went on our Chromebooks/computers and started some research about where farmers get their water from. We can use different sites to create our presentation and we had to include two different types of enablers. My group chose to use the site called 'MySimpleShow' to explain how we are going to save water for a severe drought and used Network & Sensors and Irrigation system for our enablers. We also created a slideshow to show the class what we've been up to and to put our link of Mysimpleshow we made. Our solution was to have a huge tank with a roof that can open and shut. The roof will open to let the rain go in and once it's reached the amount of water we need it will automatically close, using a tablet Bluetooth onto the farmers phone.
D.L.O
Click HERE to check out our simpleshow of our solution so I wouldn't have to explain it.
And here is the image we created using the site called 'Tinkercad', we haven't quite finished but at least we finished our video.
My Reflection
What I've learnt while making our presentation is that, planning a solution is actually pretty hard. To be honest, I though it was going to be easy and I was looking forward to do it, but then once I hopped on the computer and was told what to include in our presentation, I was like "Bruh, explain that again please" We got to the point where we have to do our finishing touches, we were actual worried because we haven't thought it through of what enablers we should use. But later that night, Me and Selena had the effort to finish it off and chose Irrigation system and Network & Sensors for our enablers. I felt so happy because I stopped worrying. It's a feeling when you perform on stage with stage fright, but once it's over everyone cheered for you and you felt good.
When we performed me and Selena thought we hadn't done enough but looking at everyone's work it's pretty much similar, just with different ideas and different ways of presenting. We all had good compliments and feedback from the teacher which was a great feeling. Each group have to write feedback to the group who is presenting, but not allowed to feedback themselves.
Next time, If I do something like this, since I've experienced it, I'm gonna try harder.

Me, Selena and Hillary searched up on google 'how to save water for a severe drought' and 'where do farmers store there water'.

Students are not given enough responsibility at school (Persuasive Writing)
Students are not given enough
responsibility at school
responsibility at school
Students ARE given enough responsibility in school because, we make
mistakes in school and we fix them, we hit high school and make sure to
bring everything we need, and lastly our careers depends on our studies in
school.
My first opinion is, we learn from our mistakes. It’s more like taking
responsible of our own actions. Like if I had a test and I decided not to
study because I think I know everything then the results came out really
bad, it’s my responsibility to fix it and study. If I had a fight with a student
from my school in public let’s say a public park, there would be someone
calling our school principal saying that your students are disrespecting your
school by having a fight with school uniform on. It is our responsibility to
represent our school with the school values not with violence. Taking
responsibility of our actions can help us improve once we hit high school.
My second opinion is, once your in high school you have A LOT to be
responsible for. You are responsible for showing up to class on time,
bringing your homework on time, study for your exams, all of those
things. This is all enough for me because, I’m a high school student and
in my experiences, I take A lot of responsibility. To be honest, I can’t do
most of them. I get tired of doing homework for like how many subjects,
and bringing them in all in the same day. See!! Now that is a huge
responsibility. Even if you have homework for Social Studies, English AND
other one and you have to bring them all in at the same day, it’s your
responsibility to finish them on time. The most important thing about
taking responsible in high school is, the future or career.
My last opinion is, you have a huge amount of taking responsibility in high
school about your future or career. In high school you have to be careful with
what classes you pick, because your future or career depends on it.
For example, if you want to be a doctor, you should think carefully with
the classes you are going to pick like Science. Science is a really important
subject because, as a doctor you need to know everything in your body.
It’s their job to fix or find out the problem about your body/health. If you
don’t pick Science, then there’s a chance that you won’t end up with the career
you wanted. It’s your responsibility to think and choose which class is best for you.
Students do take enough responsibility in school because some of us can’t even
do it on our own. Learn from our mistakes, bringing the right uniform, bringing
the equipment you need for each subject, being careful with the classes you pick.
All of those things are important to take responsible of, and I'm pretty sure it's all
enough for us students.

Reflection
When we were told to write a Christmas song just to make up a chorus. We get to pick to work in a group or by ourselves. I chose to work in a group with Kashaye, Raven and Hillary. We named our song 'Summer Christmas'.
Our Chorus:
Summer Christmas is the best time of the year,
Don't you worry because Santa Claus is here.
This is the time where you shed no tears.
You're with you your family, just have no fear.
That was our song chorus.
I wanted to perform the song on Wednesday but my group wanted to perform on Monday to get it over with it. So we did, but it didn't go well as planned. What I've learnt after performance is not shouting at people and not only rely on them, but also yourself.
Next time, we will include everyone and have fun.

Help, My Samoan girl artwork is stolen!! (Explaining what our art work looks like if it gets lost)
Help, My Samoan girl artwork
is stolen!!
is stolen!!
Dear Art Inspector,
Yo!! My artwork is stolen, it’s a print of a selfie, taken by a girl, a little bit of
her face is not printed like a little bit of her eyebrow on the left is cropped and
the head and the hair is cropped on the left side. It has a white border, and the
background of the print is black with Samoan pattern on it, it also has a phrase
saying “ SAMOA PRIDE”.
It’s printed on a A3 paper, and the print is not covering the whole paper. The
facial of the selfie is a serious face, about 70% of the face is light and 30% is
black/dark on the face. There should be black shadings around the nose, the
right cheekbone and on the left too. Also dark shadings on the side of the right
eye and the left eye. It has eyebrow on fleek, the face is real pretty, the piece of
artwork is soooooo gorgeous. So please, if you’ve seen an artwork like this
contact me with 0800 838383.

What I've learnt about film music
I've learnt that, film music can explain the story without any words.
Each genre has it's sound f music, which can describes the feeling of someone or something.
Watch this film with no words, just music with anime.

School is the best place to make Mistakes In school.
School is the best place to make Mistakes In school.
You can make the biggest mistakes in your life in school, especially the ones you will regret in your life.My first opinion is, skipping classes and thinking it’s not that important. Most students skip class either because, they’re bored, doesn’t wanna learn or have their own reasons. They think skipping one class wouldn’t change anything, but really, you can miss out on a lot of things. You could miss out on the important things you must know and learn. Students might miss out on achieving their goals.
My second opinion is, procrastinating. In school, I myself made this mistake, and I wish I could take it back, travel back and fix it, but I couldn’t. On my last year of intermediate, year 8, my teacher said we were going to have a test next week. We had heaps of time to study, but I made a mistake by choosing to save the last day before the test to study, I regretted it because, I was struggling trying to figure out the answers to the questions. My goal before that year was to get a great report, but I made a mistake by not taking the chance to study big time.
My last opinion is, once you hit high school, you have to choose out of the choices that will change your life. You need to decide on which classes you pick for your careers. Some people picked the choices there friends pick and also made the choice very late. Two people I know did that, and they badly regretted it. They regret it because of who they’ve become. They both had careers, but since they made those mistakes, they couldn’t overcome their dreams. But remember, the important thing is, that we learn from them and don’t make them again. Although is high school is important. Try to enjoy it and learn from it because you only experience it once. “Hopefully”.

New Zealand is better than Australia (Creative Writing)
New Zealand is better than Australia
New Zealand is better than Australia because, Aussie have a weird accent, New Zealand has better pies, New Zealand don't have dangerous predators, and most of all, New Zealand is the best place to travel.
First of all, Australian have a weird accent, they even say weird things. For example, they say Australia like "Astraya" and things like "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" the others would reply "Oi, Oi, Oi".
I mean, I don't know what it means, does it mean anything? Why do they say it?
Here in New Zealand, we can just say things chill and quite. For example, if someone gives us a gift, we say things like, "Oh chur bro" or "Oh too much cuz"(Meaning thank you, too much kindness). We use the phrase "Bro" short for brothers because here in NZ, we are all family. My dad would always say“shot bro” to anyone who helps him out, even strangers, and I’d always see a big smile on that person.
Secondly, when you come to New Zealand, you can do many different wild things. You could do bungee jumping, surfing, skydiving, climbing mountains. Well, it's a beautiful country, and what you can do there is just crazy. It's a very outdoor sort of place. It is also one of the countries that is considered the closest to the Antarctic shelf. New Zealand is just so beautiful, it even have beautiful harmless predators. Unlike Australia, they can have dangerous predators.
Australia have deadly crocodiles, sharks, deadly fishes, especially snakes, Most snakes in Australia are venomous, and there are a lot of them, practically everywhere. They have dangerous spiders, and because they're just like snakes, they are everywhere. I'm scared to swim in the lakes and the beaches because of it's deadly predators, well I heard that Australia's ocean can be very dangerous too. Here in New Zealand, you can just chill out at night and go for a walk where no animal can harm you. Swim in the lakes where no creatures can eat you. Visit the zoo where you can laugh and enjoy yourself. Especially when it comes to the Native New Zealand bird 'Kiwi Bird'.
My final reason why New Zealand is better that Australia is, the weather. Australia is bloody hot. Sydney in Australia had the hottest heat wave of the summer, even a warning of rolling blackouts. It's like hot almost everyday in Sydney. Just when the clouds pass by, and the sun is shining bright, it feels like there's a huge radiator in the sky, and the earth is just a huge grill. You can't even go to the beaches, because you'll get a bad sunburn, unless you cover your whole body with heaps of sunscreen. But if you come here in New Zealand, it’s nice and cool. When it’s winter, you can wear a puffer jacket or something warm, and go ice skating. When it;s hot, go out on the lake and chill.

One more thing…...New Zealand pies are WAYYY better than Australia. Probably the best pies you can find in Australia, is in the pump station. Here in New Zealand, whatever shop you go to, there will always be pies, and it will always taste great.

My Migration Video
In Social Studies, we had to make a video about what Migration is,
including Pull Factor and Push Factor.
including Pull Factor and Push Factor.
Click HERE to watch my video.
Migration means, people moving in different places to another, either temporary or permanent. Which is where the words Push Factor and Pull Factor comes in.
Push Factor is something pushing people away from their Town, City, or Country to another place. Pull Factor is something pulling people towards a new town, city, or country from where they used to live.
Now, all this happens by, Cultural, Economics, Social, Political, Environmental, and Natural.

Watching television is making New Zealand/Aotearoa an unhealthy nation (Persuasive writing)
Some channels on TV can help children learn new things, it can help them create things, learn how to say things, think and what to do and what not to do. What's greater about TV is, you can watch the news and know what's going on in the world. You can watch sports, news, dancing crews all sorts of stuff. In my opinion, TV can help people learn about new things especially since we're in New Zealand/Aotearoa we can learn about Te Reo. When me and my sister were little and we were watching TV, my mum thought it wasn't good for us, because of what we're watching, but little does she know, we're actually learning stuff on TV.
BRO!! why do you think I'm smart, I'm smart from many things, and watching TV is one of them.

My 1st D.L.O about Shakespeare's life.
A few days ago we have been studying Shakespeare and his background. We are learning this because he is a huge part of our history and has a lot to do with English. He is not just a person that created plays in his era but more. We are doing DLO (DIGITAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES) to show our understanding of what we've learned. I wonder if he ever thought back in his high school lives to become the person he is right now?
For my first D.L.O I made it by using the site called Canva.com. While making this, I've found out that his son Hamnet died on the age of 10/11 by Bubonic Plague. I wonder if the black death was there during Shakespeare's time.

My 2nd D.L.O Elizabethans
I was using piktochart for my second D.L.O , but it's interesting. It's about Elizabethans.
I've learnt while making this is, Failing to attend church drunkenness or sorcery was a offences in Elizabethan England which were dealt with by the Church Courts.

Shakespeare & Elizabethans (My third D.L.O)
I've used google drawings for my third D.L.O. about Shakespeare. I've learnt while making this D.L.O was that if the audience wouldn't like the play, they'd start to throw apples, rotten fruits & veges + eggs.
Shakespeare (4rth D.L.O)
My last D.L.O about Shakespeare.
